My name is Rick Miller and I am a technical director. I also consider myself a director, designer, musician and educator. Over the last twenty years, I have accumulated a wide range of experience in all aspects of theater. These experiences have brought me from Texas A & M University, American Musical and Dramatic Academy and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts as a student to working at the University of Alabama as an assistant professor, Samuel French play publishing in New York City as a theatrical leasing agent and Boone High School in Orlando, FL as a drama teacher.

I am currently working at the Dallas Theater Center as an assistant technical director and draftsman. The experience has given me the opportunity to work with Broadway caliber designers like Anna Louizos (In The Heights, Curtains, Avenue Q) and Tony Award winners Todd Rosenthal (August: Osage County) and John Arnone (The Who's Tommy.)

I am very much a student of the theatre. My personal theatre book collection
consists of over 2,000 volumes, many of which are first editions. Also, I was given the opportunity to share my expertise in musical theatre history at the University of Alabama by teaching The History of the American Musical Theatre in addition to my technical classes.

Contained within is my portfolio, a collection of my many experiences at all levels of theatre. Please, note my title at the top of each page for I have worn many hats. Enjoy!
